HARD WORK

Hard work is working for long hours through endless labour. It takes a lot of effort and dedication.

SMART WORK

Smart work is also hard work, but it is done differently.

It is planned and prioritised, to be effective and efficient.

Unlike in hard work, in smart work, the focus is given to the desired outcome and the task is planned to achieve it.

14 KEY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMART AND HARD WORK YOU SHOULD KNOW :

So let me share the key differences between hard and smart work .

HARD WORK MEANS :

  • Putting maximum effort and getting a minimum result.

  • It gives you experience

  • Knowing practice makes you perfect .

  • Know pain but no gains.

  •  Quantity Oriented

  • Doing the work without any idea .Only follows the previous method or rules.

  • Working Actively ( Body works )

  • Thinking in one way and doing the same to get the result is hard work. The approach is direct and linear . It is best for long run.

  • Hard work takes strength and time. There is more physical work and less mental work .

  • Takes long to give a solution.

  • This is not only difficult and endless but can be harmful to the worker.

  • Hard work does not always guarantee maximum productivity and success.

  • It is strenuous and complex and  can lead to a lot of sacrifice, stress anxiety, unhealthy work routines, and dissatisfaction.

  • In this approach the task is not matched to the desired outcome and no strategies are devised to achieve it .

Hard work focuses on quantity .It uses the conventional approach to complete a task without finding any other flexible ways to do it .It uses a simple process to complete it .You start the task without planning .It takes a longer time to achieve a goal.

Though you work with dedication the results are hardly visible

SMART WORK MEANS :

  • Putting less effort and getting maximum Results.

  • It comes with experience.

  • Knowing only PERFECT  practice will make you perfect .

  •  No pain but know gains.

  • Quality Oriented.

  •  It is about finishing the work in less time by using Creativity  and innovativeness. The approach is best used when there are time constraints .

  • Working passively ( Brain does the work )

  • Thinking in different ways and solving the problem quickly is smart. It is flexible in approach and involves effective ways to delegate .

  • But smart work saves our strength and time. More of metal work and less physical work

  • Gives solution in minimum time  .It is the best option to save time as well as to improve your mental ability/skill/knowledge.

  •  This entails setting realistic goals, planning, prioritising, managing, and delegating work.

  • The aim is to have a plan for each day and week. It reduces forgetting and redoing the same thing over and over again.

  • In smart work, a person declines other jobs when the workload is too much. He is focused and is full of energy.

  • It is effective and efficient .

  • Another important fact in working smart is to match the task with the desired outcomes and come up with strategies to achieve the desired outcome.

Smart work focuses on looking for effective and efficient ways to complete one or multiple tasks while keeping up the quality and quantity . It uses effective ways to complete  work and organises the work process in a smarter way . The approach to it is flexible .

It emphasises on planning and evaluating the plan before starting to work .

It is helpful in achieving your goals faster because it focuses on managing time effectively .

The results are visible even with small inputs.
